Holding The Wire – A film about tournament paintball

Åström has completed the score for Iacon Pictures’ feature documentary Holding the Wire, a unique portrait of tournament paintball during an economically turbulent time.

Filmmaker Jose Diaz sets out to document the lives and experiences of tournament paintball players.

Along the way, he encounters a variety of individuals, young and old, from different walks of life, all united by a fierce passion for tournament paintball.

Scoring Santa’s Little Ferrets

Åström is currently working with HiJinx Entertainment and Random Bench Productions on the Christmas TV Special Santa’s Little Ferrets. Santa’s Little Ferrets is the story of how Santa Claus really delivers the presents on Christmas Eve – with the help of three highly trained ferrets! It stars Emma Tremblay (Elysium, The Judge, and The Giver) and Jacob Tremblay (Room, The Smurfs 2 and Somnia).

Make Your Mark

Make Your Mark is a new do-it-yourself TV series hosted by the craft book author Mark Montano. Åström did the main theme and all of the music for the show that is currently airing nationwide on American Public Television.

Scammerhead at the Montreal International Film Festival

Åström recently completed the score for the film-noir Scammerhead, by Canadian director Dan Zukovic (The Last Big Thing). It is the story of a fast talking scam artist and marketer with huge ideas, Silas Breece, who gets involved with a shady consortium of eccentric investors. Zukovic himself stars in the film, that also features veteran actors Alec Rocco (The Godfather) and Bruce Glover (Chinatown), and premieres at the Montreal International film festival this year.
